4K SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAM

WCFC CDC proudly offers the South Carolina First Steps 4K Program, providing free, full-day kindergarten preparation for eligible four-year-olds. This program focuses on:​

• Developing early literacy and math skills.​
• Enhancing social-emotional development.​
• Promoting physical well-being and motor skills.​

Eligibility criteria include:​

• Child must be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the school year.​
• Residency in South Carolina.​
• Meeting income eligibility requirements or other qualifying factors.​
